How to complete the Paradox Junction Easter Egg
Paradox Junction is a round-based Zombies map in Black Ops 7, set in Nuketown. It arrived on 11 March 2026 with Season 02 Reloaded.
The map splits Nuketown into 2 timelines. Normal Nuketown is the town before the bomb, and Destroyed Nuketown is the town after it.
The Main Quest runs in 7 steps. You build the Blundergat and upgrade it to the Sundergat. You play 3 games with the Twins and collect a music box, a music sheet and cymbals. Then you align the clock tower and defeat the Dark Heart.
Most steps send you back and forth between the 2 timelines. Bring Wisp Tea, Death Perception, Combat Axes, a Molotov, an explosive and Brain Rot or a Psych Grenade.
The piano code is 8, 6, 7, 5, 6, 5, 3, 5. It stays the same in every game.
A PRO can complete the

Paradox Junction piano code and note locations
The piano step sits in the middle of the quest. You play the same 8 notes in every match: 8, 6, 7, 5, 6, 5, 3, 5.
Read as notes, the tune is A, F, G, E, F, E, C, E. The order of the 8 blue notes around the map changes each game. The tune you play stays fixed.
- In Destroyed Nuketown, wait in the Green House Backyard for the slow Piano Teacher zombie.
- Turn her with Brain Rot or a Psych Grenade. She runs to the piano in the Green House.
- Teleport to Normal Nuketown at once and go to the piano. She opens it, plays and explodes.
- Back in Destroyed Nuketown, find 8 glowing blue notes. Each one blinks 1 to 8 times.
- Interact with the notes in blink order, from 1 blink to 8 blinks.
- In Normal Nuketown, the notes now show on the wall above the piano. Play 8, 6, 7, 5, 6, 5, 3, 5.
| Area | Blue note spots |
|---|---|
| Trinity Avenue | On the rock left of Pack-a-Punch, on the house left of the alleyway, by the M8A1 wall buy and near the Cul-de-Sac entrance |
| Cul-de-Sac | On the school bus and on the fence by the Yellow House |
| Yellow House Backyard | On the garden fence |
| Green House Backyard | On the far side of the bunker |
A wrong note resets the piano for a short time. You can try again without waiting for the next round.
Normal and Destroyed Nuketown: how the map works
Every Rad-Hound round moves the whole squad to the other timeline. You can also switch by hand at the golden portal at the top of the Cul-de-Sac, for Essence.
Many quest items exist in 1 timeline and change something in the other. A wall you blow open in Normal Nuketown stays open in Destroyed Nuketown.
| Timeline | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Normal Nuketown | Pick up the Sealant, pour the acid, plant the seeds, light the fireplace, play the Twins' games and the piano |
| Destroyed Nuketown | Feed the Loot Cyst, find the humming mannequin and wall, build the Blundergat, free the Tortured Zombies, find the 8 notes |
Paradox Junction Easter Egg steps 1 to 6
Step 1: build the Blundergat and the Sundergat
| Part | How to get it |
|---|---|
| Sealant | Normal Nuketown: bottom shelf of the bookcase in the Yellow House upstairs bedroom |
| Barrel | Destroyed Nuketown: feed souls to the humming Loot Cyst until it bursts |
| Hammer | Take the SO3 vial upstairs in the Destroyed Yellow House and fill it at the Green House kitchen sink. Pour the acid in Normal Nuketown on the mannequin that hums in Destroyed Nuketown, then collect the Hammer there |
| Stock | Find the humming black goo on a wall in Destroyed Nuketown. Blow open the same wall in Normal Nuketown, then collect the Stock in Destroyed Nuketown |
- Melee the workbench inside the truck in Destroyed Nuketown, place the 4 parts and take the Blundergat.
- Stay in Destroyed Nuketown until a fire tornado appears in a backyard or the Trinity Avenue alleyway. Walk up to free the Tortured Zombie.
- Lead it to the workbench and kill it there with the Blundergat. Keep other zombies away from it, or it dies early.
- Repeat 2 more times. The 3rd one turns into a Shock Mimic.
- Place the Blundergat in the workbench in Normal Nuketown. Take the Sundergat from the workbench in Destroyed Nuketown.
Step 2: the Twins' swing
- In Normal Nuketown, shoot the seat off the swing in the Yellow House Backyard and pick it up.
- In Destroyed Nuketown, find the RC-XD controller. It sits by Pack-a-Punch, in the Green House garden or in the Yellow House garage.
- Drive the RC-XD over both ramps and through the hole into the yard. Detonate it against the garage door.
- Walk into the garage and take the Chalk.
- Put the seat and the Chalk back on the swing in the Yellow House Backyard.
Step 3: the strange tree, hopscotch and the music box
- Take the Irradiated Seeds from the red toolbox in the Yellow House garage of Destroyed Nuketown.
- Plant them in the dirt mound left of Pack-a-Punch in Normal Nuketown. Kill zombies with the Blundergat to grow the tree.
- In Destroyed Nuketown, throw a Combat Axe at the grown tree 3 times for 3 Strange Firewood.
- Put the firewood in the Yellow House fireplace in Normal Nuketown and light it with a Molotov.
- In Destroyed Nuketown, stand on the white X in Trinity Avenue until it stays blue.
- Go to the same spot in Normal Nuketown. The Twins draw a hopscotch board.
- Jump from 1 to 12 and back without touching the black smoke. A failed run resets after about 30 seconds.
- Kill zombies near the golden music box with the Sundergat. It moves to the fireplace.
Step 4: the piano, the bouncing ball and the music sheet
- Play the piano step from the section above.
- In Destroyed Nuketown, shoot the 3 floating zombies outside a backyard to free their souls.
- In Normal Nuketown, the Twins draw a circle in Trinity Avenue. Start the ball game there.
- The bouncing ball throws zombies into the air. Shoot every one before the ball lands.
- Kill zombies near the music sheet with the Sundergat. It moves to the Green House piano.
Step 5: the toy box and the 4-square game
- Get Wisp Tea and Death Perception. In Destroyed Nuketown, shoot the top of the speaker pole left of Pack-a-Punch to drop the Goggles.
- Stand near the Goggles with the Wisp active. It carries them into the map.
- With Death Perception, find the Headset outline: by the trash cans in the Cul-de-Sac, in the Green House upstairs or in the mannequin's hand in the Yellow House Backyard.
- Put both items in the blue toy box in Trinity Avenue of Normal Nuketown.
- In Destroyed Nuketown, shoot down the red ball and roll it with gunfire onto the X in the Green House Backyard.
- In Normal Nuketown, play the 4-square game there. Melee the ball so it never bounces twice in 1 square until the timer ends.
- Kill zombies near the cymbals with the Sundergat. They move to the toy box.
Step 6: the clock tower
- In Destroyed Nuketown, shoot the clock hands until the white and red hands both point at 0.
- Start a teleport to Normal Nuketown. Shoot the red hand once more just before it ends.
- A white orb appears. Follow it to the piano, the toy box, the fireplace and the swing.
- At the swing, the Twins open a yellow portal. Interact to start the boss fight.
The music box, the music sheet and the cymbals must all be in place before the clock works.
BO7 Zombies boost →A PRO completes every step on your account, Dark Heart included.
How to beat the Dark Heart, the final step
| Phase | Clear the goo | New enemies |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Fill the Loot Cyst beside each of the 3 goo piles with souls | Zombies |
| 2 | Kill the zombies that spawn from the orb above each pile | Rad-Hounds |
| 3 | Lead a Tortured Zombie to each pile and kill it there | Shock Mimics |
The 3 goo piles sit in Trinity Avenue, the Yellow House Backyard and the Green House Backyard.
After each pile clears, a Concentration Field forms around its object. Defend each field from the zombies until it completes.
With all 3 fields done, the Dark Heart opens. Shoot its glowing weak points and dodge the meteors and fire tornadoes.
The Dark Heart goes immune again after each phase. Phase 3 ends with its death and the ending scene.
