Vanguard Gold Camo is the first mastery camo, with a daunting amount of challenges. You have to go through a lot of leveling to unlock the challenges. This year the camo challenges are unique because every single weapon has slightly different challenges because by reaching the max level on each of them, they start to have tasks for particular attachments. Here are some of the main challenges you’ll have to do for each of the weapons:
Overall Eliminations - time-consuming, yet kind of on the nose, just murder players with the gun you’re using.
Overall Headshots - this will come down to how good your aim is.
Overall Double Kills - regardless of the weapon class you’re using, the Blitz game mode is the only mode you’ll have to play to get this one.
5 Killstreaks - you’ll need a team for this one.
Overall Longshots - again, the difficulty of this one is going to largely depend on what class you’re using.
Point-blank kills - you have to get up close and personal for this one, regardless of the weapon type.
Hipfire kills - you have to forget about ADS for this challenge.
One-Shot kills - some weapons are made for this, while for others, you’re really going to have to go out of your way to make it work.
Attachments kill - you have to have a specific muzzle, barrel, and optic attachments .unlocked and installed on your gun to complete this challenge.
ADS kills with a certain build - it will be done naturally as you play.
Headshots with a certain build - can’t be combined with the previous one, so you’ll have to go through the same process again.
Kills while moving with a certain build - try not to stand still when fragging.
Longshots with a certain build - another repetitive challenge.
Kills with 0 dmg taken with a certain build - no definition required here.
That’s what it takes to get that shiny Vanguard camo!
Some of the challenges you have to do might seem quite easy to complete, but even they always require lots of time and dedication to get them done. Here’s what makes each of these tasks a waste of your time:
Overall Eliminations - this one is just about accumulating half a thousand kills.
Overall Headshots - try getting these with your shotgun.
Overall Double Kills - hopefully, you have some moves to get these done.
5 Killstreaks - this one requires either extremely high skill or a decent team to pull off.
Overall Longshots - each weapon class has its range requirement for this challenge. So, if you want the SMG gold camo, make sure to check the required range.
Point-blank kills - these could be easy to do unless you’re using something like a sniper rifle or a rocket launcher.
Hipfire kills - say goodbye to your accuracy and prepare to ruin matches for your teammates.
One-Shot kills - once again if you have the average skill, it’ll take ages to get this one done.
Attachments kill - as long as you have something installed on your pea shooter, you’ll be golden.
The last five challenges could be your last straw because, essentially, they’re just duplicates of the previous challenges, but you still have to do them all.
