Midnight Keystone Legend: Season 2 is a Mythic+ rating of 3,000 during the season, and it pays the Breath of Ruin mount — where its shadow falls, even the bravest hear the echo of forgotten wars. It is the highest rating reward in Season 2 that is a threshold rather than a leaderboard placement, which is exactly why it is buyable at all. Season 2 has been live since 18 August 2026.
Why 3,000 is a different job from 2,000
At the tenth key both Fortified and Tyrannical are active at the same time. At the twelfth, Xal'atath's Bargain is replaced by Xal'atath's Guile, which cuts fifteen seconds off the timer for every death instead of adding a mechanic. A 3,000 push is therefore not "more of the same keys" — it is a bracket where a single death costs the timer, and it needs a group that does not die. That is the whole product.
What comes with it
- Breath of Ruin, tied to the Season 2 Feat of Strength — earnable while Season 2 is current, not after it.
- Keystone Master and Conqueror below it, so Breath of Blight and the title "the Venomous" land on the same character unless you already hold them.
- All eight dungeon teleports, unlocked by timing each dungeon at the tenth key or higher.
- Top-of-ladder gear and crests. Gear drops from keys cap out at the twelfth, and Myth Mistcrests come from the ninth upward — a Legend push saturates both.

The upgrade exists because paying for the 2,000 rung twice is a waste of your money. If you have it, take the upgrade.
The Season 2 pool
Altar of Fangs — added in patch 12.1 — with Murder Row, Den of Nalorakk, The Blinding Vale and Voidscar Arena from Midnight, Kings' Rest and Temple of Sethraliss from Battle for Azeroth, and Ruby Life Pools from Dragonflight. Eight dungeons, and a Legend push visits all of them.

FAQ
Do I need Keystone Master first? Not for the full push — that starts from any rating. The upgrade package is the one that requires it.
Is there anything above Legend? Yes, and it is not a threshold: Venomous Champion is the top one per cent of your region at season end and Venomous Hero is the top tenth of a per cent. Placements against other players are not something anyone can sell you, and we do not list them.
