What rewards does a GM guarantee?

With Platinum rating (all Champions killed): 1 guaranteed Tier 5 Masterworked weapon with exclusive Accelerated Assault origin trait, 2 Ascendant Shards, 5 Enhancement Prisms, high chance of exotic armor drop, Conqueror seal progress, and Vanguard reputation. Tier 5 weapons replaced the old Adept system.

What happened to Adept weapons?

The traditional Adept weapon system was sunset with The Edge of Fate (July 2025). All existing Adept weapons were converted to high-tier equivalents. New GM drops are Tier 5 Masterworked weapons with the exclusive Accelerated Assault origin trait. Competitors and players still use "Adept" terminology interchangeably.

Why is there no matchmaking for GM content?

Legend/Expert, Master, and Grandmaster difficulties require pre-made fireteams (no public matchmaking). This is the primary reason players buy Nightfall boosts — they either lack a regular fireteam, don’t want to use LFG, or need experienced players for GM-level content. Only Standard and Hero tiers have matchmaking.

What is the Conqueror title?

One of D2’s most prestigious seals. Current system (Portal Conquest) requires completing 6+ activities across Expert, Master, and Grandmaster difficulty tiers. Gilding resets each season — the gold "Gilded Conqueror" shows you re-earned it in the current season. Multi-week commitment.

What is Platinum rating and why does it matter?

Platinum is earned by killing EVERY Champion in the Nightfall. Missing even one drops you to Gold, significantly reducing loot quality. Platinum = guaranteed Tier 5 weapon from GMs, best Ascendant Shard rates, and highest exotic armor drop chance. All our runs guarantee Platinum.
